The community art exhibition is planned for summer 2012, the 90th anniversary of the founding of CLPA , celebrating the rich and diverse artistic tradition of the lakes.
June 28 – September 2, 2012
At the Caroga Historical Museum
Due to the wonderfully enthusiastic and generous response of lake residents, friends and neighbors, nearly 150 works of art have been submitted for the show. To include as many of the paintings and drawings as possible, the exhibition has been divided into two sections – July and August. The July show will run from June 28 – July 29 and the August show from August 9 – September 2 at the Caroga Historical Museum with completely different art works in each show!
Watch for information in the spring 2012 Canada Lake Echo about the openings at the museum for each show and related public programming. Plan to visit the museum often during the summer of 2012 so you, your family and friends can enjoy the remarkable range and talent of area artists over the past 90 and more years.
Images inspired by our Canada Lakes in all seasons including sunsets, loons, sailboats, flowers, camps, lake people, Adirondack scenery and much more, are sure to capture your interest and curiosity.
Note: Artists and owners of art who have submitted work for the exhibition will be receiving written confirmation by September 15. The confirmation letter will include information about the date your work(s) will need to be delivered to the Caroga Historical Museum as well as the month in which your work(s) will be exhibited.
